Do natural hair loss remedies have any real relevance?

Do natural hair loss remedies have any real relevance?

The effectiveness of modern hair loss treatments is clear for all to see, but many people simply prefer not to use strong chemicals or non-natural substances.

If you fall into this category, does this mean you’ll just have to accept an ever-decreasing head of hair? The answer to this is an unequivocal NO!

Many natural hair loss remedies, both traditional and contemporary, have shown their worth in reducing and reversing hair loss. They are also perceived as being free from side effects and even deliver additional health benefits.

Why then, don’t we hear a lot more about these natural hair loss remedies? Simply because claims of cures cannot be made without FDA approval, and obtaining the FDA seal of approval involves lengthy and expensive scientific research that only major companies can afford. Even the biggest companies could not recoup the costs of such a process as no-one can control the rights to common natural substances such as basic foods and vitamins.

The big question however is, do natural hair loss remedies work? Firstly, hair growth at root level is a living part of the body that depends on sound nutrition, just like any other part of the body. The importance of vitamins, minerals and other nutritional elements in maintaining healthy hair cannot be disputed.

Secondly, the role of herbs and plants in treating numerous ailments is receiving increased recognition after years of neglect, and hair loss is no exception. Many herbal remedies for both internal and external use are offering new hope to people suffering from premature hair loss.

Thirdly, traditional hair loss remedies may still have something to offer. Ancient literature and folklore reveal that our ancestors went to great lengths to treat thinning hair. Some of the more acceptable traditional approaches are now being incorporated into many potential treatment regimes.

How to know when you’re dreaming

How to know when you’re dreaming

I have been dealing with people and the problems they face my entire life. Haven’t you? Haven’t we all wondered why things are the way they are. Why do people act the way they do? Isn’t that what causes us to make some attempt to “find the meaning of life”? I have, like I said, been at this a while and I want to give everyone some idea of what I see as the cause of the people disturbance.

There are many references in ancient cultures to the dream state and the trance state. It seems that this is where they went to find things out. I was wondering about early tribes and why they didn’t eat the wrong plants or animals and die. Well for sure some did. But I ran across a story of a shaman in South America who was telling the man doing the interview that they knew what to eat and how to live because the serpent told them. They got in touch with the serpent through psychoactive plant tinctures. Another thing that they were told is that this was the dream world. The world where they couldn’t remember what they were, had to use words to communicate and so on. I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand as someone who went through a horrendous drug addiction I know what it’s like to get high and think things. On the other hand the not remembering and feeling as if I live in a dream world rang some inner chimes.

According to the Indians you know if you’re dreaming if you’re here in human form. That’s not really helpful to any of us on our way to the office. Even if it’s true what good is it. In my study of myself, and my fellows, and my search to get to the structure of things I have found a common thread in all addictions, anxiety and mental dis-orders. Don’t confuse dis-order with disorder. Dis-order has no clinical definition, its not that complicated. The common theme is all of the individuals in these troubled states were involved in some form of fantasy life. Not an intentional fantasy. Not the stare out the window and dream about a lover fantasy but rather fantasies about Life. What life is what our part in it is and what makes the worlds go round. What are these things really? What are the real facts.

One thing for sure, if you’re not dealing with facts then you’re dealing with fantasy. If our facts about the world in which we live are not really facts, then we’re living within the resulting fantasy. We’re dreaming.

Over and over I go through this with people. It’s always the same. They have a problem and they want it gone. When we finally arrive at the cause, there always exists some aspect of their lives that is supported by some fantasy structure. With a life built on this nonexistent foundation the building is proportionally fragile. It shakes and wobbles and needs to be constantly patched and propped up with relationships, drugs, achievements, acceptance and so on. It’s never restful and it never ends.

So how do we find out if we’re dreaming? We have to find out what stories we have built our lives within. Not around: within. You can’t be in and out of a story. When you accept a life story, whatever it is, you become a character in that story. So first question then becomes, is this story real?

Quit Smoking Techniques – 7 Steps With Creative Visualization

Quit Smoking Techniques – 7 Steps With Creative Visualization

One of the first techniques that I recommend to my client’s who want to quit smoking, is to begin visualizing themselves as a non-smoker. Creative Visualization is a technique where you imagine or think about yourself as you want to be. It’s like replaying a mental movie about you successfully achieving your goal. Using the power of Creative Visualization will help mentally prepare you to become a non-smoker.

Creative Visualization steps:

1. Center yourself
With your eyes closed, take a moment to center yourself by taking a few deep breaths while becoming aware of your surroundings (What are you sitting or standing on? What color is it? How is your body touching the earth? Can you feel your heartbeat? What sounds can you hear?).

2. Start visualizing
Think about where you are at this moment. This is where you will begin your one minute visualization. (How much are you smoking per day? How confident and motivated are you?).

3. Enjoy a benefit
Quickly move past your quit date, and create a mental picture of a moment in your first days/weeks as a non-smoker enjoying one of the ways you are going to benefit. (If being healthier is one of your benefits, you can imagine what it’s going to be like to breath fresh air into your lungs).

4. Bring in details
Enhance your visualization by bringing in more details into your mental movie. (Where are you? What are you doing? What are you wearing? Notice your surroundings, Who else is there?).

5. Bring in all your senses
Bring all your senses into your visualization.(What else do you see in the scene? What sounds do you hear? What emotions are you feeling? What do you smell and taste?).

6. Positive affirmations
Give yourself positive affirmations throughout your visualization. (I am a calm, healthy, and happy non-smoker).

7. Visualize each day
Repeat your one minute visualizations at least two times each day. Visualize yourself in different situations enjoying one or multiple benefits at the same time, always imagining yourself how you would like to be as a non-smoker. You may visualize yourself as if you were watching yourself on a movie screen or from the perspective of looking out of your own eyes. The ideal time to begin visualizing is as soon as you think you want to quit smoking.
